Carlos Santana is forming a jazz fusion supergroup called Supernova with his wife Cindy Blackman Santana, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, and John McLaughlin. I really hope this comes to fruition — sounds quite promising!

Their point-on skewering of bro-country in “Girl in a Country Song” a year ago is what first attracted my attention. I received a pre-order of Start Here a few months ago and all of the other songs that have been made available so far are great. I look forward to hearing the rest of the album in a few days!
